However, Barcelona offers several elevated spaces from where you can see the whole city and locate the different points of interest. Barcelona offers several free places, accessible on foot or by public transport, which will give you wonderful postcard views that you will want to immortalize forever.
Here are our recommendations of the 5 best views of the city:
TIBIDADO
Tibidabo is the highest mountain in the city with 512 meters above sea level. Undoubtedly, one of the 5 best views of Barcelona. At the highest point of Tibidabo is the Sagrat Cor church, a charming amusement park and a viewpoint with spectacular views of the city and its surroundings.
Tibidabo can be accessed from the blue route of the tourist bus. Although a recommendation to get there is to take the Tibidabo Funicular. A completely renovated funicular that is now known as Cuca de Llum (Firefly) and has very large windows to see the breathtaking views as you climb to the top of the mountain.
BUNKERS DEL CARMEL
The Bunkers del Carmel, also known as Turó de la Rovira, is one of the best panoramic views of the city. It is becoming more and more known and is becoming one of the most popular meeting points to watch the sunset. The Bunkers del Carmel were anti-aircraft fortifications used during the Spanish Civil War.
The Bunkers del Carmel can be reached by public transport (metro, bus or cab) but you will have to walk uphill for a while. It is important to wear comfortable shoes and bring some water to get you through the walk. We assure you that the excursion is well worth it.
CARRETERA DE LES AIGÜES
For lovers of sports and outdoor excursions, this is your place. The Carretera de les Aigües is a privileged balcony over the city of Barcelona, a great view from the Sierra de Collserola. It is a completely flat track that goes from one end of the city to the other. A real spectacle for trekking lovers where hardly any tourists arrive.
The Carretera de les Aigües has its origin in an old water pipeline that was used to supply the city in the past, which remains its horizontal layout of almost 10km long. It can be reached by the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, getting off at the Peu de Funicular stop.
MONTJUÏC
The mountain of Montjuïc is located very close to the sea and offers different viewpoints, most of them free, from where you can see the city. At the Mirador d’Alcalde you will find a series of terraces from which you will enjoy one of the 5 best views of Barcelona.
To get to the best views of this mountain it is best to take the Funicular de Montjuïc to the cable car station and from there glide through the treetops while watching the city, the port and the Mediterranean Sea. At the top you will find the Montjuïc Castle, an ancient fortress that today serves as a military museum.

Parc Güell, apart from being one of the most visited monuments in Barcelona, also offers one of the 5 best views of the city thanks to its location on the side of a hill, formerly known as the Muntanya Pelada.
